Training on Mission Antyodaya and PPC

One-day training programme on Mission Antyodaya and People’s Plan Campaign (PPC) on GPDP for ToTs under the department of Rural Development was conducted at SIRD complex, Kohima on September 21. 

A press release from Rural Development publicity cell stated, People’s Plan Campaign is an effective strategy for ensuring the preparation of GPDP in a campaign mode which will be rolled out as “Sabki Yojana Sabka Vikas” from October 2 to December 31. During the campaign, structured Gram Sabha meetings will be held for preparing the GPDP for the next financial year i.e. 2020-21 respectively.
Delivering the introductory speech, joint director, Rural Development, K. Neibou Sekhose called upon all the trainees to read the guidelines carefully and be thorough in the subject so that the state does not lack behind. He also urged them to be sincere and attentive during the training and learn thoroughly so that they can go back and train the staffs and line departments in their respective blocks and districts.
Presenting an overview of People’s Plan Campaign on GPDP 2020-2021, state resource person, Dr. Juthsutho Phoji, sr. lecture SIRD informed that Ministry of Panchayati Raj and Ministry of Rural Development, will jointly launch People’s Plan Campaign and during the campaign period, comprehensive GPDP is to be prepared by every panchayat in convergence with line departments and flagship schemes such as MGNREGA, NRLM, PMAY (G), Rurban and SAGY covering 29 subjects of the XI Schedule.
The day long training covered topics on solid waste management and GPDP with focus on achieving convergence conducted by RDO, John Wesley Magh, Mission Antyodaya by SPM (MIS), NSRLM, Y. Renvungo Murry. Rural Development officer, Vilopi Sakhrie presented a demonstration on GPDP portal and Mission Antyodaya App.
