Training on piggery production and management

Three-day training on “piggery production and management” was organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Peren district in collaboration with ICAR Nagaland Centre, Medziphema, from September 26-28 at ICAR Conference hall, Medziphema.

A press release by KVK Peren stated that the resource persons of the technical session were ACTO, animal sc. and course coordinator, Dr. L. Babita Devi; ACTO, Soil Sc, Z. James Kikon; scientists from ICAR Nagaland Centre - Dr. Mahak Singh, Dr. Romen Sharma, Dr. Jyotish Barman and ACTO, A/Sc, KVK Dimapur, Dr. Ebibeni Ngullie.

During the practical session, Dr. R. Talimoa Mollier and Dr. Dimunthing Zeliang, of ICAR Nagaland Centre, elaborated to the farmers in detail about the routine farm activities and on the importance of record keeping, feed storage and different medicines for health care in pigs among other topics.

Altogether 25 youths from different villages in Peren district and Dimapur attended the training programme.
