Three-day hands-on training programme on artificial insemination in pigs concluded on September 9 at the College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (CVS&AH), Jalukie.

A press release by assistant professor of livestock production management, CVS&AH, Dr. Imtiwati stated that the participants learnt boar training, semen collection, estrus synchronization and artificial insemination. Certificates were also awarded to participants by dean, Dr. AK Sangwan.
Earlier the programme was inaugurated by dean and was coordinated by assistant professor, veterinary gynaecology & obstetrics, Dr. Tukheswar Chutia. Resource persons were Prof. C. Veerapandian, Prof. MO Kurien, Dr. N Bhumapati Devi and Dr. Iluheibe. A total of four participants from animal husbandry and veterinary sciences, Nagaland, Dr. Eyekhweshe Kepfoh, Dr. Yovino Mekro, Dizinangbo Rentta and N. Ngauzia Elungheing participated in the training.
