Tsüngremmung celebrated in Mkg, Tsg

The third and final day of Tsüngremmung Mini Hornbill Festival was held today with deputy commissioner Mokokchung Rajesh Soundararajan as the special guest. 

Speaking at the programme, the DC said that Tsüngremmung festival was an occasion for many things, like praying to the God for blessings which unites people as a community to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and oneness. He also added that the last three days were the testament to all the virtues that make up the essence of Tsüngremmung festival. He further said that many high profile people had returned to their homes and that people from all walks of life turned up in large numbers to share the message of love and brotherhood. 
He also added that cultural troupes from various districts and states participated with zeal and enthusiasm and called upon all to endeavour to live by the same virtues even after the festival was over. 
The programme also witnessed the final match of inter ward tug of war competition for both men and women. The prize distribution for the various competitions held during the festival was also given away. 
ASTT Tuensang: Ao Senso Telongjem Tuensang Town (ASTT) observed Tsüngremmung festival at the auditorium, GHSS Tuensang on August 3.
According to DIPR report, significance of Tsüngremmung festival was shared by Sakurepba, NST Tuensang. He appraised on how the festival came into existence, and how each of the three days of Tsüngremmung is spent. Short speech on behalf of host was delivered by Er. Imkongakum. He also said that it was a festival of plentiful from Lijaba (God).
Invocation prayer was said by pastor TTABA, Moatoshi Lkr. Welcome speech by president ASTTT, Lima Jamir, cultural song by ASTTT officials. A Jalibang song was presented by Atula and a cultural dance by Season Star Ungma (SSU), and also a Tsüngremmung song presented by Watsu Unit, Tuensang town. Vote of thanks was delivered by the committee members.
