Tsavi salon inaugurated in Dimapur

Tsavi salon, an initiative of Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (WSBAK) was inaugurated on Wednesday at Lhomithi, Dimapur. The salon was dedicated by WSBAK Executive Secretaty, Rev Hevukhu Achumi. 

WSBAK has taken the initiative leading the way to impacting and creating livelihood opportunities for youth through a training programme called ‘Canaan Yutech,’ a skill development project that aims to provide free professional training. Canaan Yutech is managed by the department of youth ministry of the Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (WSBAK).

The idea of the programme is to help mitigate unemployment issues besides creating a sustainable economy where youth can stand for themselves. 

Highlighting the focus of Canaan Yutech, marketing manager of Canaan Yutech, Amughato Y Awomi said altogether, 22 trainees have been given free professional training in the areas of plumbing, electrical work, hair dressing, painting and AC repairs.

‘Last year, the saloon called ‘Juvi’ was inaugurated at Thahekhu village where the six trained hair dressers now work as full time employees.
