Tsithrongse Baptist Youth Endeavour organizes youth camp

Staff Reporter DIMAPUR, AUG 6 (NPN): | Publish Date: 8/7/2018 2:38:45 AM IST

Exhorting youngsters at a Youth Camp organized by Tsithrongse Baptist Youth Endeavour at Life Spring Corner on Sunday, pastor of Sangtam Baptist Church, Chumukedima, Tsalichum reminded them that life was both temporary and fleeting and that youngsters today needed to walk in God’s will if they were to reignite their flame.

Tsalichum compared the body, soul and spirit to software from God and how vices of the world like pride, jealousy, and even addiction to alcohol and drugs corrupts the software leading to cancer, death and many other problems.

Quoting Matthew 23: 27, pastor Tsalichum lamented that Christians today were like white tombstones which appear beautiful outwardly but were full of dead men’s bones and uncleanliness inside. He reminded the youth present that youth and beauty would not last forever and everything would come pass away one day, but the one thing that is worth striving for and will last forever is the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

The program was chaired by Atsai, praise and worship was led by the Limitless Worship Team, and it ended with a mass prayer and benediction by the speaker. The other highlight of the program included a special song by Martha Aye.

The youth camp at Life Spring Corner is the first camp organized by the Tsithrongse Baptist Youth Endeavour under the theme ‘Reignite your flame’ from August 3 to 5. In the earlier two days, various topics like social networking, Christian relationship, the role of youth, identity of youth in Christ, and ‘what if we treated our Bible like our cell phones?’ were discussed.

The three-day camp was organized under the leadership of camp director and youth pastor, K Sepitong and time-keeper Atsai. Around 50 youth attended the program.
