Tuensang Police conduct several raids

Tuensang Police conducted several raids at different locations in and around Tuensang town and booked several persons under relevant section of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act 1985.

According to a press release by the office of Superintendent of Police (SP) Tuensang on March 9, Tuensang police foot patrolling duty party on suspicion intercepted one person and on conducting a “search” recovered 16 SP capsules and ten Alprazolam tablets.
The arrested person was identified as C Ongmang (26) son of Chang Imlong of Nyinem Village, Tuensang and presently residing at St. John ‘B’ Sector Tuensang.
Acting on the confession of the arrested person, Tuensang police also raided the house of Longkhangba (33) son of Soyem of Yimrup village and present resident of St. John Sector ‘A’ Tuensang. During the search, police recovered 47 SP capsules and 10 Alprazolam tablets. 
Following the case, the investigation team also raided the house of Mahendra Kumar (30) son of Innar of Beluara village under Santkabia Nagar and presently residing at Longkhim town.
During the search 497 bottles of cough syrup and 18,950 SP capsules were also recovered from his possession.
In this connection a regular criminal case has been registered, informed Tuensang police.
