Tuli College organizes Fresher’s Day

The Annual Fresher’s Day & felicitation program of Tuli College was held at the college, Tuli on June 29 with a day-long program.
A press release from principal A. K. Ahmed said occasion was graced by Additional Deputy Commissioner Tuli, Imsongmeren as the special invitee. The chairman and the secretary of the board of governors, L. Lepzuk Lemdur and I. Meren Imsong attended the opening session of the program. Administrator I Nukshi Jamir and few other board and faculty members also attended the program. The welcome address was delivered by Abdul Kabir Ahmed, principal Tuli College. Sungjemmongla, a student of BA 5th Semester, chaired the program.
A special felicitation programme was also organized to encourage meritorious students who were placed at first division in the HSSLC and BA Final Examination 2018 from the college. The special invitee handed over the certificates of honour and cash awards to the achievers.
Speaking on the occasion the special invitee urged the students to be aware of the present economic situation of the state and government policies regarding employment issues. He appealed to the students to plan for the near future from now onwards and to not fully depend only on government jobs.
The second session was hosted by Nungshilong and Sosangbenla which comprised of two rounds of personality and talent tests among the fresher’s and after the final round Imlitsungba and Imtisangla Lemdur both of Class XI Arts were adjudged Mister and Miss Fresher of Tuli College 2018.
The judges of the event were Imkongnukshi, Watisenla and Arennaro all faculty members of Tuli college. Changjilong assistant general secretary of the college students’ union said the vote of thanks and Imtsungliba, lecturer Dept. of History, pronounced the benediction.
Tuli College is a nonprofit centre of higher education catering to the most needy aspiring students specially from the rural backgrounds.
