Twenty XI FC Viswema beat Vanguard FC 2-1 while the match between Khriekesa FC Meriema and Sechii Zubza FC ended in 1-1 draw in the 2nd edition of Kohima Football League at Local round, Kohima on Wednesday. 
Organized by Kohima Town Club (KTC), in the first match, Twenty XI and Vanguard FC failed to make the breakthrough in the first half and hour of play. However, in the 35th minute, Twenty XI made use of the opportunity and opened the account through Apotso Rhetso’s strike. The first session ended 1-0 in favour of Twenty XI. After the break, Vanguard FC came back strongly in search of equalizer but were denied by the rival strong defense line up. They were finally rewarded when Yhumshalo Kemp, the skipper netted the equalizer in the 73rd minute. Their jubilation was cut short, after a minute, when Viho Kin scored to seal the victory for Twenty XI FC. With this win, Twenty XI FC has earned 3 points. 
Kameirang Kamei of Vanguard FC, Metol Neikha and Vizhii and Neikha  of Twenty XI FC were cautioned for unsporting behaviour. In the second encounter, Khriekesa FC Meriema and Sechii Zubza FC had to shared a point each after the match ended in 1-1 draw. Both the goals were scored in the second session. Vekhriito Resii (18) of Khriekesa FC scored the first goal in 53rd minute; however, his strike was cancelled by Laloureiyang Aloumei in 63rd minute. Kekhriengulie Usou, Keviriituo iisou and Vimelie of Khriekesa FC received yellow cards for foul play.
Joint secretary, government of Nagaland, Kovi Meyase graced the second day of the league as match patron. 
Meanwhile, the organizers expressed gratefulness to Khriekesa FC and Sechii Zubza FC for cleaning the gallery after the match.
