Twenty XI FC beat Ziekiezou SC 5-4 via tie-breaker in the first match of KTC Cup at kohima local ground on Monday. The cup is being organized by Kohima Town Club.                 

Kelesal Pucho opened the account for Twenty XI FC in the 25th minute. But five minutes later, Keviphretuo Kire scored for Ziekiezou SC to make it 1-1. 

Zevito Khizho scored the second goal for Twenty XI in the 37th minute. 

After the breather, Keneinguzei Pienyii of Ziekiezou SC made it 2-2 in the 56th minute. With the match tied at 2-2 at the stipulated time, the match went into the 30 minute extra time.

Twenty XI FC again want ahead and scored a goal in the 101st minute through Zevito Khizho. 

However, Ziekiezou SC was not far behind as they scored the equaliser through Keneinguzei Pienyii in the 104th minute. With the match tied at 3-3, the game went for the spot kick where Twenty XI prevailed over Ziekiezou SC 5-4.

Twenty XI FC will now lock horns with Sechü Zubza FC in the semi-finals on August 29. 

Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS was the match patron of the day.
