Two-wheeler taxi to provide free ride for LDA aspirants

Two-wheeler taxi Kohima riders will provide free ride to the aspirants for LDA examination under the Department of School Education scheduled to be held on August 10. 

The riders will be available for dropping at PR Hill Junction, Razhu Point and High school junction in Kohima starting from 8:30 am onwards.

Nagaland two wheeler association, president, Chumben B Yanthan speaking to Nagaland Post said the initiative was taken to express their gratitude and small gesture to the citizens for their continuous support in their fight for legalisation of two-wheeler service in the state. “We request the aspirants appearing for LDA exam to feel free and be confident with us to reach the venue on time,” he said. 

“With the persistent pursuance of the riders and general public, we finally got the cabinet approved for this service”, he said. He further acknowledged the support from the state government, different stakeholders, organization, union bodies, and well-wishers in approving the two wheeler taxi in Nagaland. It may be mentioned on July 28, the state cabinet during its meeting decided to approve two-wheeler taxi service in Nagaland. However, the Regional Transport Authority was yet to issues permit.  It was learnt that Transport & Civil Aviation, Railways and Land Resources minister P Paiwang Konyak will officially launch the two-wheeler taxi after August 15.
