Urra Area Villages Union (UAVU) on September 12 held a joint meeting with women, youth, chairman & head GB of 13 unit villages in the union office hall and adopted a six-point resolution.

In a press release, Urra Area Villages Union president Thrilongse Sangtam and press secretary A. Tureng informed that during the meeting, the house expressed happiness to the state government for taking up the long-awaited road project from Sangtamtilla-Pimla junction section via Bade-Kiyeto village as

NH 329 A.

The house resolved to extend full support to NHIDCL authority and the contractor for the progress of work; the house firmly stood for quality workmanship.

Work specification as per agreement should be implemented by the contractor, the release stated.

The member villages unanimously agreed to extend its support in its own jurisdiction by maintaining good relationship with project authority and contractor.

It also resolved that “no individual or organisations or government agency” should disturb the work progress “by way of asking tax or creating unnecessary harassment.’

The house further appealed every individual and various organisations “including NPGs to extend its support for the success of the area dream project.”
