UC organizes talk on Naga customary laws

Unity College Dimapur - Department of History, English and Political Science jointly organised, “A talk on Naga Customary Laws :A case study of Sumi Chieftanship and the tradition of establishing new villages”.  

The programme was chaired by asst professor, department of English, Tongpang Walling. 

Principal of the college, Dr. Lichumo Enie in his introductory speech, encouraged the students to learn the customs and traditions that governed the Naga way of life.

Kahuto Chishi, resource person of the day spoke at length about migration in Sumi context, the concept of Sumi chief and the tradition of establishing new villages. This was followed by an interactive session with the students and faculties.

Later, vote of thanks was said by department of Political Science, asst professor. Amongla.
