UCTE conducts fine art in education

Unity College of Teacher Education (UCTE) held a workshop on fine art in education under the guidance of Mhasiselhu Viyie, master of fine arts from January 24 to 27. 

A press release from Unity College of Teacher Education stated that, student-teachers along with the faculty members took part in the workshop. The student-teachers of 2nd& 4th semesters actively participated. Fine art is an important aspect in education as it provides learners with non-academic benefits such as promoting self-esteem, motivation, aesthetic awareness, cultural exposure, creativity, improved emotional expression, as well as social harmony and appreciation of diversity, all of which are integral to teaching as a profession. 

The best three paintings adjudged were of Imtirenla, T Tiala Aier and Yingli B Phom.
