UNDP Nagaland assists H&FW department with tracking COVID-19

United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) India, Nagaland team has been assisting the department of Health & Family Welfare in tracking COVID-19 with logistics.

A press release by United Nation Development Programme Nagaland stated that, responding to the COVID-19 crisis and as a Health development partner of Nagaland, the UNDP Nagaland team handed over essential preventive materials and infrared thermal guns to the Health department on July 13. 

The medical supplies were handed over to DH&FW principal director, Dr. Vizolie Z. Soukhrie by United Nation Development Programme Nagaland senior project officer Kingson Kamkara and project officer Imli Longkumer in the presence of senior officials of the department.  

It may be mentioned that United Nation Development Programme has manpower deployed at the state, regional and district levels across Nagaland and has been supporting the Department of Health & Family Welfare Nagaland since 2016 with the “electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network” and assisting universal immunization programme division by providing real-time information on vaccine stocks, distribution, order management and storage temperatures across all cold chain points in Nagaland. 

United Nation Development Programme available staff is engaged in the field assisting health workers during this pandemic.
