Team Unified FC emerged as the champions of the first open penalty shootout organised by MACK United at Seikhazou D.Khel, Kohima village on Saturday. 

Unified FC defeated Darlins Club 3-1 in the final shootout. The champions received a cash prize of Rs.60,000 while the runners up, Darlins Club received Rs.40,000. The award to the champion team was handed over by Ketholetuo Khezhie, president, Kohima District Football Referee Association. 

Dziesekhrielie Tseikha of Unified FC was adjudged the best goalkeeper, IG Girls from Meriema received the best discipline team award. They received Rs.5,000 each. 

A total of 24 teams including two women teams from Kohima and Dimapur took part in the one-day tournament organised under the theme, “Together we stand, together we fall, all for one and one for all”.

Earlier, Shilumar Lemtur declared the tournament open as special guest. Khrietsonyü delivered the welcome address, special number was presented by Moko Koza while an instrumental piece was presented by Vika Rotokha.
