Union cabinet minister, Arjun Munda, minister of Tribal Affairs, India paid a courtesy visit to the Mokokchung district BJP office and interacted with the party workers on September 6. 

A press release from ST morcha BJP Mokokchung general secretary, M. Along Lcr stated that,  Arjun Munda was accompanied by the Nagaland BJP president, Temjen Imna Along Longkumer, also minister for H&TE and Tribal Affairs, Nagaland, and a host of BJP party leaders. 

Munda encouraged the Mokokchung BJP party workers on the programmes of the BJP especially with regard to tribals in India. He said that the BJP was the largest political party in the world with more than 17 crore registered members and expressed his happiness to be interacting with the BJP workers in Nagaland and said that “we are a family”. Identifying himself as a tribal, Munda said that there are 10.5 crore tribal people in India and assured, on behalf of the government of India, to render all help to the people of Nagaland so that the state and especially the district of Mokokchung would grow at par with the grand visions of the BJP party. 

Nagaland BJP president, Temjen Imna Along Longkumer, complimented the Mokokchung BJP for their dedicated work with regard to the membership drive. He assured all help to the BJP unit to make it more robust in the days to come. 

Earlier, BJP Mokokchung district, led by its president RN Nungsang along with a host of party workers warmly welcomed the visiting union minister at the party office and held a brief programme. BJP Mokokchung district also presented a concept note on some projects about the development of Mokokchung which was graciously accepted by the union minister for due consideration.
