Unknown disease in Myanmar’s Naga SAZ claims 7 lives

An outbreak of an unknown disease in two villages in Donehee Region, Nanywan Township of the Naga Self-Administered Zone (SAZ) has claimed seven lives all below 18 years.

This was disclosed by information and publicity secretary Makury Naga Youth Federation (MNYF), Thongtsühmiu Jongs Isidore. Isidore said the outbreak which began since August has become more severe.  He said Eastern Naga Development Organization, a local based NGO, was trying its best to assist the villagers with very limited aids. Isidore claimed that around 1000 people were affected by the unknown disease. The symptoms include- increase of body temperature, bleeding from nose. MNYF has sought the help of people from across the world to aid and pray for their safety.
