A three day spiritual retreat organised by the United Sangtam Baptist Lithroti Ashimukhong (USBLA) under the theme ‘Refreshing the soul’ at Arenthru Tethoyu, concluded on February 15. The program was attended by pastors and Church workers from all Sangtam areas.

The speakers of the spiritual retreat were Er. Sao Sangtam and Rev. Alemla Sangtam. Speaking in the devotional service, Er. Sao dwelt on the importance of remembering the vows to work for God’s kingdom. He appealed to the workers to fulfil the purpose of their calling where ever they are serving. Sharing from the book of Genesis, Er. Sao also asked Church workers to remember God’s blessings at all times and not forget God after they had been blessed.

A dialog led by Lipichem and Dr. Holiba discussed issues like Church administration, centralization, financial management, evangelism and the vision for 2025. Sharing from his journey “as full time worker”, former executive secretary USBLA, Rev. Tsangkhuchu also encouraged the Church workers reminiscing of the times of struggle when they had no proper facilities to work for the extension of God’s kingdom. Seopi Sangtam, president, USLP also spoke on the occasion and appealed to the Church workers to keep the USLP and Nagas in their prayers. Lilongla Christian education secretary and a number of participants presented a special song. The USBLA has extended its acknowledgement to the participants, and particularly the Power department Kiphire, for ensuring there were no power cuts throughout the program.
