USLP ‘appalled’ by GPRN/NSCN inaction

The United Sangtam Likhum Pumji (USLP) has said it is appalled at the “stoic silence of GPRN/NSCN(U) for not initiating action against Hukato, Kilonser GPRN/NSCN(U).”

USLP president, Seopi Sangtam and general secretary P. Achumse Sangtam, in a press communiqué said that the USLP had called for action against the said cadre through the media on December 10, 2018. It further claimed that the kilonser was the “master mind and main culprit behind the burning down of houses and manhandling unassuming Public, women and Children at Sangtamtilla village using their government arms and ammunitions.”

The USLP demanded that the GPRN/NSCN initiate action against him within seven days from the date of issue of this letter (March 1). It also demanded that the action taken must be publicly communicated to the USLP through the media. “Failing to honour the demand USLP reserve its inherent right to initiate its own course of action” it asserted.
