Taking serious note of irregularity of government employees, United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) has asked officers to report to work within five days.

In a press release, USSC vice president, USSC, Sethrongba Y Sangtam and general secretary, Selicho Sangtam have asked head of departments (HoDs) to strictly maintain daily attendance record of all the staff and initiate “no work no pay”.
USSC informed that its members inspected government offices under Kiphire town from June 22-25 and found out that many officers were “out of station”.
Taking serious note of this, USSC has asked all officers posted under Sangtam’s jurisdiction i.e. Kiphire and Longkhim/Chare under Tuensang district to report to their posting place.
USSC has also asked staffs to be stationed in their respective posting place and perform their duties without any excuses and maintain proper records and reports.
The conference has also asked departments to uphold transparency in the working system and to be sincere to their assigned works.
USSC said it would continue to keep vigil and warned to take its own course of “democratic action” against erring officials adding that respective HoDs would be held accountable for any eventualities.
