Various organisations condemn firing incidents in Dimapur

Various organisations and political parties have condemned the firing incidents of June 5 and 6 respectively at the residences of Abu Metha and Rusemthong Longkumar.

CPO: Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) has expressed shock over the firing at Abu Metha’s residence and said that “such act of vandalism and terrorism against any law abiding citizens should be condemned by one and all.”
In a press release, CPO president Vichütuolie Mere and general secretary Zakievisie Kruse while strongly condemning the incident challenged the perpetrators to come out openly, “if there are any issues with them in this matter.”
Viewing the incident as “not less than attempt to murder”, CPO has, therefore, appealed to the law enforcing agencies to immediately take steps to identify and book the perpetrators.
CAKU: Chakhro Angami Kuda Union (CAKU) has vehemently condemned the firing by the miscreants at the residence of Abu Metha.
In a press release, CAKU general secretary Thejangulie Angami termed the act as “cowardly” and stated that an attempt on the life of innocent citizens was intolerable. CAKU has appealed to the law enforcing agency to leave no stone unturned till the culprit was brought to book and award befitting punishment.
CPO Chümoukedima unit: Chümoukedima unit of CPO has strongly condemned the “dastardly act” of firing at the residence of its bona fide member Abu Metha. 
In a press release, unit president Rünavilhou reminded the perpetrators that there was no place for them in a civilised society. It also urged the state government to investigate the matter thoroughly and book the culprits and take action according to the provisions of the law.
NDPP youth: Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) central youth organization has expressed dismay over the firing at the residence of Rusemthong Longkumar, NDPP general secretary and PRO to chief minister on June 6.
It condemned “such dubious intend of the perpetrators to cause grievous harm upon the senior party leaders”.  NDPP youth organization has urged the responsible authority investigating the case to leave no stone unturned and book the perpetrators at the earliest.
DVC: Darogapathar Village Council (DVC) has expressed shock over firing incident at the residential gate of its bona fide resident Rusemtong Longkumer, PRO to CM. In a press release, DVC chairman Nungtok Meren Jamir and secretary K Ado Bizo described the incident as “attempted murder” and said that “such acts are detrimental to the village council’s aspirations for peaceful co-existence.”
DVC has appealed all responsible not to create such cowardly and uncivilized acts within Darogapathar village jurisdiction. DVC also urged the law enforcing to immediately investigate and book the perpetrators and award befitting punishment.
DYO: Darogapathar Youth Organisation (DYO) has strongly condemned the indiscriminate firing targeting the residence of Sharingain Longkumer, MLA. DYO stated that the incident was not only an attempt to grievously harm Sharingain and his family, but also an attempt to disturb the peace and tranquillity within the Darogapathar village.  DYO while assuring its cooperation has appealed to the law enforcing authorities to thoroughly investigate the case and punish the culprits as per the law.
BADV: Business Association of Darogapathar Village (BADV) has strongly condemned the firing at the residence of Sharingain Longkumer, MLA, who is also legal advisor of BADV.
In a press release, BADV president Imenuklo Longchar and general secretary Limala Walling claimed that “some elements” were trying to create doubts in the minds of the public with various speculations in the social media instead of showing solidarity with the aggrieved family members. It has appealed to all the right thinking citizens not to be led astray by such utterances. BADV has urged the responsible authorities to nab the culprits and take action as deemed fit.
DAYO: Dimapur Ao Youth Organization (DAYO) has expressed concern over the shooting at the residences of Abu Metha, secretary general NDPP and Rusemdong Longkumer, PRO to chief minister. DAYO president Aotemsu Aier and general secretary S Pangertoshi strongly condemned the cowardly act and warned that it would not be silent spectator while threats, intimations and crime were being perpetuated upon its community members. DAYO has appealed to the investigation agency to leave no stone unturned in their search and ensure that all those involved behind the cowardly act be exposed and punished. 
NAMSA: Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA) has expressed shock at the indiscriminate firing at the residence of its senior member and advisor Abu Metha. NAMSA president Vikishe Shohe also strongly condemned the “dastardly act” and appealed to the authorities to investigate the incident and award befitting punishment to the perpetrators as per the law.
CYOD: Expressing shock at the indiscriminate firing at the residence of Abu Metha, the Chiecha Youth Organization Dimapur (CYOD) stated that such senseless action by “mindless miscreant(s) threatening innocent life with arms/weapons was not acceptable” and should be condemned by all right thinking citizens. CYOD president Pfüreilie Rüpreo and general secretary Kevibienuo Keditsu also urged the investigating agencies to take urgent steps in tracing the culprit(s) and punish them.
NDPP Dimapur region: NDPP Dimapur region youth organisation along with its constituent units have strongly condemned the firing incidents at Abu Metha and Rusemtong Longkumer residences. NDPP Dimapur region youth organisation, president, Toshimanen Lkr said the act was an apparent threat to personal life and property.
The organisation has called for through investigation into the matter and urged the law enforcing agencies to nab the culprits and bring them to book. It has asked all right thinking citizens to condemn such cowardly act and to maintain peace.
TUD: Tenyimi Union Dimapur has vehemently condemned the dastardly act of indiscriminate firing that took place at Abu Metha’s residence. TUD said the senseless act of intimidating and an attempt on the life of its leader at this juncture has again created a fear psychosis in the mind of every peace loving person yearning for peace and tranquillity to prevail in the society. The union said the incident was not only against Abu Metha and Zeneituo Yano but a direct challenge to the village authorities and the whole community. It has called upon all to condemn such act. TUD has also appealed the state government and the law enforcing agency to take immediate action and apprehend the culprits and award befitting punishment as per law.
UST: Ungma Senso Mungdang (UST) president Takoyanger and secretary, Dr. Rongsen has condemned the “desperate, pathetic and illegal actions of the perpetrators” and stated that such acts were with an intention to instil fear and create confusion in the minds of people.   
UST made an earnest appeal to the authorities and investigating agencies to leave no stone unturned in arresting the perpetrators at the earliest. UST also stated that “it has also come to our attention that some individuals are trying to cast shadow of doubts on the minds of the people with various allusions and speculations in social media”. UST asserted that it will not stand as mute spectator to such acts of cowardice with the sole intention to divert the attention of the people by smearing the good image of the affected family. 
AST, DV: Ao Senso Telongjem (AST) Darogapathar Village (DV) in a condemnation by president, Nungsang Jamir and secretary, T. Samuel Ao has strongly condemned the act of arson carried out by unidentified miscreants at the residence of Rusemtong Longkumer, PRO to the chief minister, Nagaland.
AST stated that such actions were shameful in a peace-loving society and has appealed to the investigating agencies to expedite tracking of the source and accordingly, book the culprit at the earliest. Union further vowed to continue pursuing justice until the culprit(s) involved has/have been convicted.
