Visienyü champion Kiruphema wrestling c’ship

Veteran wrestler and former Naga Wrestle Mania light weight champion Megovizo Visienyü Wednesday emerged as the champion of the 45th  Kiruphema wrestling championship 2020. Visienyü is also former KYO wrestling champion in the year 2014 & 2016.

Gracing the wrestling meet as special guest at Kiruphema Basa, commissioner & secretary Work & Housing and chairman disaster management Nagaland, Rovilato Mor, said that wrestling was a competition to promote young talents for prospect and was a contest to bring unity among the people of Kiruphema and neighbours. He also urged the youth to be disciplined, maintain time management and be proud of their talents. Based on the importance of health balance, Mor said healthy life could help one feel their best.

Expressing happiness over the participation of wrestlers, he said “All players have added flavour to the championship meet and reveal a positive image of KYO amongst the sports fraternity.”

In senior category, Mhaneivito Kruneilie bagged in second position, while Megotsolie Suohumvü and Vichasa Suohumvü bagged 3rd and 4th position respectively.

In junior category, Kedovilhou Kruneilie emerged as the champion, Vineikhozo Mor in second position, Kevimedo Zhünyü and Rokovisie Shosahie were awarded third and fourth correspondingly.

Altogether, 29 wrestlers participated in the KYO wrestling championship. Kevichatha Suohumvü, Pelhouvisie Hozoyie, Metsilie Suohumvü and Thepfülhouto Zenyü-u were the prize sponsors this year’s wrestling championship.
