 Special team to check imposters

In a significant development, Working Committee (WC) of the NNPGs has decided that none of its member organisations will seek donation or indulge in taxation of any kind from T.K. Engineering Co, presently engaged in construction of four-lane from Chumukedima to Purana Bazzar.
This was contained in a statement issued by media cell of WC, NNPGs which disclosed that it was a decision arrived at after a meeting at Oking on Thursday.
According to media cell of WC, NNPGs, the decision was taken to enable the company concerned to focus on quality workmanship, remove all hurdles and complete the project within stipulated timeframe.
Mentioning that the NNPGs will get involved to strictly monitor work in case TK Engineering Co compromised on quality, the company was also asked to promptly report to WC members of NNPGs should any donation demand is made.
The WC meeting also endorsed the formation of a special team comprising of members of military wing from all NNPGs under WC to tackle the menace of imposters and dubious elements terrorising entrepreneurs and business outlets, especially in and around Dimapur.
Admitting that the commercial hub of Nagaland is in the grip of gun-toting imposters posing as representatives of NNPGs, the WC said they would be identified and befittingly penalised.
Stating that there are also reports of policemen in civilian dresses arresting people randomly at gunpoint, the committee feared that without proper identity, there is a danger of them being mistaken as rogue elements. Calling for putting in place proper mechanism to avoid accidents through mistaken identity, the NNPGs also appeal to all citizens, particularly business community, to extend co-operation in this endeavour.
