We cannot be yoked together with unbelievers

We take a very serious view at the way the BJP party is heading with its new president Mr. Temjen Imna who is also a minister in the present Government. He has done some things that has not been heard in the history of Nagaland. Of recent times he has followed Hindu traditions of bringing a dead man’s ashes of a burnt body to Nagaland purporting to be an action of honour. He openly and blatantly displayed Hindu worship. This is a rotten example of a leader of Nagaland. We are asking that whichever church he belongs to, that they

take action. It is time for the church to show we cannot be yoked together with unbelievers. Where do we draw the line? If this leader is intent in bringing a Hindu culture and religion to Christian Nagaland, we will not stand by and act cowardly and spineless. How far does the Baptist Churches want to compromise when most of the leaders of Nagaland are its members? We appreciate NBCC for speaking out against BJP earlier, as BJP clearly is a very pro Hindu party and very religious in nature. They have introduced Yoga to all institutions,

and want legislate study of Bhagavat Gita in all schools. We seriously object to the fact that that Christmas day was declared a ‘good governance day’. Ever since BJP party came to power many Christian NGOs and charitable organisation has been shut down. Many churches

have been destroyed and pastors killed and beheaded, Christian schools and hospitals destroyed. In a boastful manner a leader claimed that it is the BJP party that brings development and not Jesus. In a sinister design they have forced citizens into dreadful ‘Ghar Wapsi’ or else….With some of this events NBCC was forthright in speaking against BJP party. Why did not the individual Baptist churches take the issue seriously? The BJP party called Christians churches blind and leading the blind. It certainly seems so as the Hindu party marches in and exploits the gullible and the corrupt. If Mr Imna has to answer to his

church, Mr Rio and Mr Zeliang will have to answer for courting the BJP as well.. Those who don’t want to be Christians anymore let them declare openly. Christ is about to come and so let’s prepare our house and keep it in order lest hell swallows up the entire nation. Lord help us.
