 American Christian metal band, Whitecross reached Dimapur on April 15 and is all set to perform for the denizens of Dimapur. 

In a press conference with media persons at Sky garden, 7th Milestone, Chümoukedima, Dimapur, members of the band said they were astonished with the music scenario here in India.  Being in India for the first time, the band members stated that Indian music is very influential and had been very infectious to them. They stated that it was amazing to see original music coming out from Indian musicians with such soul and love which makes it more infectious. They also said that they were very anxious and eager to hear and have fun to the music to be played by the Naga artistes tomorrow.   

When asked regarding if new songs or albums would be released, they stated that though they were less active for quiet sometime, they replied that they are hopeful  of coming out with some new songs. 

They further disclosed that though the members have not decided or talked about coming up with new materials yet, all the members had reflected with positive responses and were eager to make songs involving different twist and keeping in mind to bring forth the best of what has been the sound of the band.  

When asked why they chose to perform in Nagaland, they replied that it will be an amazing experience to perform here in Nagaland and also thanked the organizers and Fathers House Church for reaching out to them and paving the way for the concert.

They stated the band performing here in Nagaland maybe a once in a life time experience at the same time hoped that this would be the start of a new chapter. “We are as excited to be here, as you are to have us”, the band members replied.  The band will be performing live at DDSC stadium, Dimapur on April 16, from 5 p.m. onwards.

Opening acts for the concert includes Mengu Suokhrie, Tokaholi, The Institute for Music Education, Jano Nyekha, Livingstone Higher Secondary School, Dimapur and Brainstorm Island.

Organizers have informed that tickets to the concert will be made available at the venue from 1 p.m. onwards.
