Winter snooker open challenge from December

The Cue Association of Nagaland (CAN) will be organising Winter Snooker Open Challenge from December 9 to 12 at Baulk Line Club and Club Area 51 in Kohima.

The champion will receive a cash prize of Rs. 60, 000 while runner up will receive Rs. 30, 000. The two losing semi-finalists will also receive Rs. 15, 000 each while the player with the highest break point will pocket Rs. 10,000. The winter snooker tournament is an open competition for both men and women.
The game will be conducted on best of three basis till quarter finals and “best of five” from semi-finals onwards.
The tournament’s dress code will be formal while players will wear waist coat from quarter final rounds onwards.
The competition will be conducted following necessary Covid-19 protocols. 
Interested players have been requested to collect the registration forms at the following snooker houses:  Club 147 (Razhu Point), Atou Pool House (Old NST), Q Lounge (Super Market), Club Area 51 (Jail colony) and Baulk Line Club (Mohonkhola colony).
The registration fee will be Rs. 2,000; last date of form submission has been fixed at December 5 while the fixture will be drawn on December 7 at Baulk Line Club.
