Wokha DPDB meeting held

The monthly Wokha District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on August 9 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Wokha. The meeting was chaired by vice-chairman DPDB and DC Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon. Advisor for Horticulture, Mhathung Yanthan also attended the meeting.

According to DIPR, CMO Wokha, Dr. Robin Lotha informed the board about the requirement of a doctor at Moilan, the concerned medical officer being on study leave. He also apprised the board that Ralan area needed one more PHC and he requested the villages under the area to submit a representation for onward submission.
E.E. (Power), Abenthung Ngullie informed the board that Sanis Transmission Centers had already been constructed and is operational, and for Sungro and Lakhuti he has submitted the proposal to the higher authorities.
Regarding DHEP Doyang, settlement of land issues and maintenance of law and order, revival of ADC HQs Doyang was also deliberated by the board and approved the same for administrative convenience. The DC also directed the allied departments to visit flood affected places and prepare an assessment damage report.
Further the Deputy Commissioner appealed to all employees, colonies/wards and the general public to take part in the mass social work scheduled to be held on August 11 starting from 8 a.m and added that attendance for all government employees would be taken on that day and action will be initiated against absentees. He also requested all head of offices to donate books to the recently inaugurated district public library.
