Wokha DPDB to award cleanest colony

Wokha district planning & development board (DPDB) has set aside a cash award for the first, second and third category under LADP Fund 2019-20 to be awarded to the cleanest colony during the DPDB meeting on July 10. 

According to DIPR report, this gesture is to motivate the citizens of Wokha town on cleanliness and to educate and fight against global warming as the district has declared 2019-20 as the year of cleanliness. 
Vice chairman DPDB & DC Wokha, Dr.Manazir Jeelani Samoon, also thanked all the local representatives (MLAs) for the initiatives which will promote and educate the citizens to maintain the towns clean green and plastic free. He further urged the colony to maintain consistency in keeping the colony clean for healthy environment. He further stated whoever wins the award will use the fund judiciously to take forward cleanliness drive more effectively. 
Board has also set up selection committee to adjudge the winner and the colonies were given certain guidelines to complete the task. Rupees eighty, sixty and forty thousand will be given to the winners.
