In view of the platinum jubilee celebration, the Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (WSBAK) held a consultative meeting on October 27, with Western Sümi Kükami at Aküvüto, Thahekhu, where MP Lok Sabha, Tokheho Yepthomi was the guest of honour. 

A press release by WSBAK executive secretary, Rev. Dr. Phughoto Sema stated that, Tokheho Yepthomi, exhorted the chieftains to be united and work for the church and society. He encouraged them to be more responsible and be honest leaders as they were desired by the people and preserved by God.

Ato kükau of Nihoto village, Dr. Nihoto P. Chishi (95), one of the oldest chief from Western Sümi villages brought goodwill message of cooperation for the jubilee celebration project. Dr. Chishi was also the teacher of MP Tokheho during school days at Aghunato. 

He encouraged the chiefs to be honest and take care of the needs of the people who seek their help. Ato kükau Sakipheto, Dr. Izheho Zhimomi (85) and many others gave solidarity speeches.

The Western Sümi Kükami unanimously decided to give full cooperation towards the celebration of WSBAK platinum jubilee in every way possible. Western Sümi Kükami also decided to strengthen the Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu in letter and spirit. More than 150 Kükamis (village chiefs) representing about 138 villages from Western Sümi region participated in the consultation meet.
