WSH provides lunch to frontline workers

Western Sumi Hoho on Saturday distributed food packets to around 3000 frontline workers-- police, district administration, medical, municipal, power department and others involved in combating the COVID-19 pandemic in Dimapur.

WSH president, Dr. Kakheto Zhimomi lauded frontline workers of Dimapur district for working tirelessly day and night in the fight against COVID-19. 

According to DIPR report, WSH president described Dimapur as “mini India” where people from of all states reside and observed that it was a difficult district for management especially with regard to law and order and social order. 

However, despite all those difficulties, he said the district administration, police and other frontline workers have been rendering selfless services. “Western Sumi Hoho salutes you and assure that we will be behind you and give full cooperation in any eventuality,” WSH president said. The hoho served lunch to all the frontline workers as a gesture of appreciation. 

Describing Dimapur as the lifeline of all districts, the commissioner & secretary, Kikheto Sema, said that all essential commodities passed through Dimapur emphasised on the need for coordination, cooperation and confidence. 

The deputy commissioner (DC) Dimapur, Anoop Kinchi, expressed appreciation to WSH and underlined the importance of such gesture for motivating the frontline workers. Commissioner of Police (CP) Dimapur, Rothihu Tetseo, on behalf of the district administration, police and other departments, acknowledged WSH and other NGOs for their moral, physical and prayer support.
