WSKH appeals for installation of TrueNat machine

Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) has appealed for installation of TrueNat test machine for COVID-19 at Niuland CHC, Kuhuboto PHC and Akito village PHC Khaghaboto. 

A representation by WSKH president S. Vihuto Yeptha and general secretary, Kuhovi Zhimomi to minister of Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland, stated that Niuland, Kuhuboto, Aghunaqa, Khaghaboto area share boundary with neighbouring state of Assam which pose a severe threat for the spread of Covid-19.  

Pointing out the “alarming rapid spread of infected Covid-19 cases within and outside the state of Nagaland” along with prohibition of public movement due to lockdown within the state, the WSKH said that people of these mentioned areas were facing untold hardship and unimaginable problem on a daily basis.

Added to all these issues, the WSKH stated that major concern was the unavailability of testing machine in the border areas of the state “which has created more panic and fear psychosis within the people.” 

WSKH further stated that lack of testing machine undermine the necessity for early detection of the virus before it generates into a community transmission.

Western Sumi Kukami Hoho therefore appealed the concerned department to intervene in the matter with prompt action for the safety of life and health of its people.
