Dy. CM and legislator in-charge of Wokha district for COVID-19, Y. Patton held a coordination meeting with district administration, medical officers and frontline workers at Wokha town, also attended by adviser of Horticulture and Border Affairs, Mhathung Yanthan on May 28. 

A press release from DCMO media cell stated that, Patton appreciated the constant dedication of the district officials and encouraged them to give in more effort as there were already positive cases in Nagaland. 

After reviewing the situation, Patton directed the district administration to completely seal off the Bhandari check gate, as it was in close proximity with Merapani on Assam side, a hot spot of COVID-19. He also instructed  DC Wokha, Orenthung Lotha to immediately recall those officers serving under Wokha district and those out of station without proper leave, failing which, stern action will be initiated against those erring officials. 

Patton also appealed the people of Wokha district not to panic, but to cooperate with the district COVID-19 taskforce in case of any eventualities. Earlier, Patton held a series of meetings with the stakeholders including Lotha Hoho, Eloe Hoho, LSU, Lotha Youth Hoho and WDCC and also met and discussed with the BJP office bearers and karyakatras of Wokha unit. 

He also gave financial assistance to all the CSOs concerned and the party to meet unforeseen expenses related to COVID-19.
