YDF NEISSR organizes drive for cleanliness at Neisatuo Colony

Youth Development Forum (YDF) of North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR) organised its 2nd cleanliness drive at Model/Neisatuo Colony, Dimapur on September 8.

A press release from YDF, NEISSR stated that students of NEISSR and youth from Neisatuo Colony participated in the cleanliness drive with the consent of the colony’s GB, Nilo Gonmei.

Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) also helped by providing their trucks to get rid of the waste and garbage that they collected during the drive. 

A short awareness program was organised by YDF on the importance of cleanliness, and its impact on society. Alan Paul, a 3rd semester student spoke about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and avoiding the use of plastics and other non-biodegradable wastes. A short speech was also delivered by Loyibeni, a student from 1st semester.

A role play was performed in the presence of the residents of Neisatuo Colony, based on the topics “corruption and unemployment.” Dipak (GS) of the colony expressed his gratitude and sincere appreciation towards NEISSR for such awareness programs for the people of the colony. Imnayangla Jamir gave the vote of thanks on behalf of NEISSR.
