Yingli College Longleng observes Fresher’s Day

 Yingli College, Longleng held its 27th freshers’ meet on August 10 at Borgohain Hall with the theme “Imagine the possibilities” with major S. K. Kaushik of ‘F’ Coy Assam Rifles Longleng as special guest. 

The special guest encouraged the students to imagine the possibilities, to be sincere in their studies and also shared about the importance of NCC and his experiences during the college days as scout & guides. 

Agricultural Officer, Bongkam Noklang in his exhortation speech urged the students to have relation with God, determination and consistence in studies and self assessment. 

Shaumela S and Shingjei Phom were selected as Miss and Mr. Freshers’ Yingli College 2019. 

The programme was chaired by Rosengienla and C Henok of BA 5th Semester, invocation was pronounced by Lenlijungla, welcome address by vice principal, Dr. B. Henshet Phom, welcome song and folk song were presented by 3rd and 5th semester students respectively, special prayer for students was offered by Pastor Ao Baptist Church, Meren Pongen, special song titled “Let us live as one” was sung by Longkup, vote of thanks was proposed by students’ council general secretary, Chingmei and closing prayer was said by Lumi.

Second session was led by Chumei and Lungthe. Leaders from various organisations like Phomla Hoichem, APGO and Public leaders attended the programme.
