YMC observes cultural day

Yemhi Memorial College (YMC) Dimapur observed its 5th Literary and Cultural Day on December 7 at the college premises under the theme ‘Retrospect the Past and Transcend to Future’. Joshua Achumi, chairman Governing Body, YMC graced the programme as the special guest.

In his address, Achumi encouraged the students to uphold the rich culture and traditions and also challenged them to develop healthy cultural practices like obedience, sincerity, discipline, hard work and being polite to everyone at all times. Highlights of the programme included welcome song by Tenyimia students, traditional song by Yimchunger students, bamboo dance by Konyak students. Sumi students of the college also presented a drama on the story of Inakha and Ghonili. Competitions on debate, public speaking, etc were conducted. 


Launched on December 3,1990. Nagaland Post is the first and highest circulated newspaper of Nagaland state. Nagaland Post is also the first newspaper in Nagaland to be published in multi-colour.
