YMC organises 6th foundation day

Student council of Yemhi Memorial College (YMC), under the aegis of advisory board organised the 6th foundation day of the college-cum-6th annual freshers' meet on July 11, to welcome the batch of 2019.

A press release from YMC stated that, ICFAI University, Nagaland vice chancellor Dr. C.P. Alexander graced the occasion as guest speaker. Guest speaker in his address urged the teachers to take up the dual role of an educator and motivator. While felicitating the students, he stressed on the importance of holding onto reality and not losing touch with nature. He also advised the students to not be disillusioned and depend solely on the government for livelihood but instead be a graduate social asset.
L. Hotoyi Sumi inducted the programme by welcoming the guest and the freshers while YMC principal Makhan Chetia, delivered brief report about the history of the college.
Tokuho Jakhalu and Tosoveino Pohena were adjudged Mr and Miss Fresher’s 2019 respectively.
