Young female achievers under BBBP felicitated in Wokha

Under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), district administration and DLCW-MSK organised a short programme at DC conference hall, Wokha on September 18 to felicitate the girl child who achieved 100% transition and has done exceptionally well based on academic results of 2019.

According to DIPR report, EAC (DEV) Wokha, Imtinungula Longkumer while handing over the awards to teacher in-charge, urged them to utilise the funds judiciously for the welfare of the school.

District administration also handed over blanket, baby kit and nutritional supplements to one of the lactating mother returnees who had reached the district during the lockdown period under BBBP.

GHS teacher in-charge, Wozhuro speaking on behalf of the teachers lauded the district administration and DLCW-MSK for taking up the initiative and encouraging the girl child.

Meanwhile, the award was categorised into two i.e. class 5 and class 6 from three schools and class 8 and class 9 from 14 schools. Incentives and certification of citation were given to 17 schools under Wokha district.
