Yimchungrü Tribal Council (YTC) has appealed to the department concerned to immediately restore the Jio and Airtel services at Shamator town.

In a press release by YTC advisor, Yanba Showuba stated that as per information received, lightening had struck upon the tower during inclement weather in the month of March at Shamator town. Since then for more than two months, YTC claimed that people in the area were facing immense hardship due to poor services of Jio and Airtel.

The poor network services have brought major setback for the public, especially the students studying in other parts of the state and country as they fail to communicate  their urgent works both personal and official. YTC stated that inspite of such hardships, the department concerned/companies were still yet to fix the problem. YTC  further alleged that, due to improper functioning of services, the public (thousands of customers) were unnecessarily wasting and losing huge amount of money on recharge, top-up and most importantly internet packs.

In this regard, YTC  has appealed the concerned authorities of the department/companies to restore at the earliest and provide better service for the common profit of the people in the area.
