‘Fit India School Week’ observed

 DMI St. Joseph Global School (DMI SJGS) virtually observed “fit India school week” from November 24 to 30 for KGs to X with activities for its students. 

A press release by DMI SJGS stated that, the weeklong event saw easy-to-do fitness activity such as fun & fitness- dance, aerobics exercise, martial arts, zumba and rope-skipping on November 24 for students and parents. 

The second day engaged students in poster-making competition on the theme “fit mind-fit environment”, while the third day focused on the theme “yoga for all”.  Students participated in essay/poem writing competition on the fourth day under the theme “fit India school” while the fifth day was dedicated to family fitness activities involving students and parents at home. 

On the sixth day, a fitness sports quiz was organised where students were divided into three I-III (category-I), IV-VI (category-II) and VII-X (category-III).

Under category-I Olino Pearl and Kinali Swu emerged as winners, Keno Joshuva and Livino S Yesca in category-II and Vikebe Zhimo and Atobo K Aye in Category-III were adjudged winners. 

Meanwhile during the weeklong event, students were asked to send photos and videos of their participation to the class teachers. Programme was coordinated by physical education teacher of the school, Hayithung Yanthan and assisted by a team of teachers.
