101 Covid cases, 298 recoveries in Meghalaya

Meghalaya registered 298 cases of recovery from COVID-19 infection, taking the number of recoveries to 6,034, even as 101 fresh infections took the active cases to 2, 295 in the State on Saturday.
Of the 101 new COVID-19 positive cases, Director Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War said that 56 were detected in East Khasi Hills district, 30 in West Khasi Hills district, 11 in West Garo Hills district, 2 cases in Ri-Bhoi district and 1 each in South West Garo Hills district and South West Khasi Hills district.
With 1,521 active Covid-19 cases, East Khasi Hills, including Shillong is the most affected district in the State.
Meanwhile, of the new recoveries registered on Saturday, 223 were from East Khasi Hills district, 55 from Ri-Bhoi district, 18 from West Garo Hills district, and 1 each from East Jaintia Hills district and West Jaintia Hills district, the health official informed.
Till date, Meghalaya has detected 8,404 Covid-19 cases, of which 75 have died , 2,295 active and 6,034 recoveries.
