Kohima Police arrested two persons in connection with fraudulent misappropriation of money meant for replenishment of cash at ATMs in Kohima. 

According to Kohima Police PRO, preliminary investigation revealed shortage of cash amounting to Rs 1,84,56,500 from 15 SBI ATMs across Kohima town. In this connection, a case has been registered at North Police Station and is being investigated by an SIT led by SDPO (North). 
The accused identified as Mankai Konyak (32) and Santosh Khatri (27), both employees of Ms Writer Business Service Pvt Ltd, a cash replenishment agency for State Bank of India (SBI), were working as ATM operators. Police have so far recovered Rs 38,48,000. 
Further investigation is on to ascertain the modus operandi and involvement of persons in the fraudulent misappropriation of money meant for ATMs.
18 stolen two-wheelers recovered; 4 held 
Special team of East PS Dimapur busted a bike-lifting gang following consecutive arrest of four persons and recovered 18 stolen two-wheelers.
According to ADCP (Crime) the accused were identified as- Toluka Chophy (30), Akato Chophy (37), Sukhato Achumi (26) and Kivigho Kiba. 
Police recovered one Royal Enfield, three TVS Apache, two Hero Glamour, three Bajaj Platina, two Bajaj Discover, one Hero Splendour and six Scooty from different parts of Dimapur. 
Further, East PS personnel and AVTS also recovered a Mini-truck 407 on March 23 from 4th Mile area, Dimapur. The vehicle was later handed over to Karbi Anglong Police, Assam. 
In another case, PRO said one person identified as Vinoka Sumi (32) was arrested on charges of extortion from business establishments in 4th Mile area on March 17 and a case registered at Diphupar PS.
