4.2 mag quake jolts Arunachal Pradesh

 Earthquake of magnitude 4.2 on the Richter scale hit 371 km North of Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh on Monday, at around 10 in the morning, National Center for Seismology said.  No damage or casualty has been reported so far, The Sentinel Assam reported. 

According to NCS, the area was seismically very active falling in the highest Seismic Hazard zone V associated with collisional tectonics where Indian plate subducts beneath the Eurasian Plate. Further, EQ Parameters: M: 4.2 with a Latitude of 30.92 N, Long: 91.88 E, and Depth of 165 Km.
