5.2 magnitude quake jolts NE

A mild earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter Scale jolted parts of North East on Saturday afternoon. According to National Center for Seismology, the earthquake with a depth of 30 km, struck Myanmar on November 14 at 2.20 pm. There has been no report of any damage caused by the quake.

It may be mentioned that an earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter Scale jolted parts of Nagaland and Assam in the wee hours on Thursday. According to NCS, the earthquake occurred at 3.23 a.m. at a depth of 11 km on latitude 26.45 degree and longitude 93.61 degree with its epicentre at 61 km north of Dimapur.
