Even after 5 years of signing of the Framework Agreement (FA) on August 3, 2015, NSCN (I-M) alleged that the “scourge of manipulation, misinterpretation and insincerity has kept the pot boiling.”

In an article-- “Travails of Framework Agreement: Five long years of waiting”, issued by the MIP on the eve of the 5th anniversary of the FA, NSCN (I-M) said that historic agreement was signed under the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with much hype and anticipation in the political circle.  “There was much excitement and jubilation as Prime Minister Modi called up all political leaders who matters that he has solved the longest political issue of Southeast Asia.”

“But five (5) years down the line the scourge of manipulation, misinterpretation and insincerity has kept the pot boiling,” NSCN (I-M) stated. It reminded that the Interlocutor for Naga talks, RN Ravi was given the honor to sign on behalf of the Government of India, and from the NSCN side it was signed by NSCN chairman Isak Chishi Swu and NSCN general secretary Th. Muivah.
