ACID conducts MEDP programme on detergent making

Assisi Centre for Integrated Development (ACID) with support from National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) conducted micro enterprise development programme (MEDP) programme on detergent making on September 8 for 30 members at ACID office.

A press release by ACID stated that, DGM NABARD regional office Dimapur, SC Sahoo in his inaugural session held that the skills which participants learn enhance the individual and when a woman learns, she disseminates it among her peers.
He said that ACID NGO was a partner and they were familiar with making use of skills and imparting them which benefits members through livelihood promotion, self-employment and self-sustenance. He also expressed gratitude to the organisation for programmes conducted with the support of NABARD.
In his address, DA NABARD, Rahul said that it was up to the individual to enhance skills and make use of them for betterment of the group and oneself. He encouraged SHG members to help with smooth functioning of the group and to become self-sufficient by helping one another.
Earlier, director ACID, Sr Pramila Lobo in her welcome address thanked NABARD for its constant support in uplifting women through different skill development training programmes. Programme was facilitated by in-charge for MEDP programmes, ACID, Bendangmoa, while invocation was done by Amakla.
