Ao Students Conference (AKM)  and  Japukong Students Conference (JKM) visited Saring village and Nagaland police camp to take stock of the situation following July 12 incident.

Since Japukong rage shares boundary with Assam and people were faced various issues, AKM and JKM urged the concerned department to strengthen the  Longchem Police Station by appointing a sub-inspector (SI) and halvildar, since the PS was yet to have one.  So far, AKM and JKM said that the Saring  police had the strength of only 9 personnel and unable to cover the entire area.

They also requested the concern department to upgrade the outpost and to reinforce at least a section of police personnel at the earliest.

AKM and JKM also urged the government to complete the Foot Hill Road  at the earliest possible time since the people had to currently travel via Assam, as the only route.
