ANFPSA postpones proposed agitation

All Nagaland Fair Price Shop Association (ANFPSA), after due consideration of the position expressed by the government have decided to postpone its proposed agitation. 

In a press release, ANFPSA through its information cell stated that at the backdrop of the deadline placed by ANFPSA to the state government for release of pending transportation and handling charges due to fair price shop dealers all over Nagaland and the invitation of director, Food and Civil Supplies office, the association and state government represented by joint director, nodal officer, deputy director and senior inspector Dimapur, conducted a meeting on November 5 in Dimapur.
The association expressed its resentment over government’s apathy towards FPS dealers in addressing transportation and handling commission issues which was kept pending for 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 in the meeting. ANFPSA stated that the officer representing the government has agreed to take up the matter rigorously in utmost priority with the state and central government and requested the association to understand their position to work collectively to fetch amicable solution.
The release stated that after keen hearing, the association decided to wait for sincere effort of state government in meeting its genuine grievances and decided to postpone its proposed agitation till further notice. 
It however warned that in the event of failure to meet the demand by the state government, the association shall resume its democratic form of agitation programme.
