Assam Rifles conducts various activities

Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) conducted various programmes for the welfare of the public.

Phek Battalion: Phek battalion conducted a medical camp at DC ground, Phek district, Nagaland on April 7 where a specially constituted team under unit medical officer assisted by district medical authorities provided free medical assistance to 293 individuals.
Apart from medical assistance, basic knowledge on epidemic diseases and precautions were also imparted.
Jalukie Battalion: Jalukie battalion provided solar lanterns to Senior Citizen Home and health awareness drive to Child Care Orphanage at Ngwalwa, Peren District, Nagaland on April 8.
The campaign focused on raising awareness on the pandemic among the elderly people and young kids of the orphanage.
Altogether, six elderly people and 15 kids benefitted from the programme.
Meanwhile, a medical camp was also conducted at New Puilwa, Peren district, Nagaland on April 8 where 186 villagers, including 82 females and 38 children benefitted from the camp.
