Assam Rifles hold yoga sessions, career counselling

Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters of Inspector General of Assam Rifles - North (HQ IGAR- North) organised special yoga sessions in a run up to “International Yoga Day” and also conducted career counselling and interaction drive for the youths.

6 Sector AR: To commemorate the “International Yoga Day” through a series of events, HQ 6 Sector Assam Rifles Saturday organised a special yoga session to train the potential yoga instructors in the sector. 

According to AR, a total of 52 persons including six instructors practiced “yoga asanas” and “pranayams” at the sector camp to promote healthy way of life through “yoga kriya”.

Jalukie Bn: Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles commemorated “International Yoga Day” by organising yoga session for troops at Heningkunglwa, Tenning and Ahthibung under Peren district, Saturday.

According to AR, the troops were briefed about the various postures of yoga and their benefits for the body. The troops were also informed about the growing importance and popularity of yoga all over the world due to bright positive changes seen by individuals.

In a separate event, Jalukie battalion of Assam Rifles organised career counselling and interaction drive on June 18 at New Mpai village under Peren district.

According to AR, the programme was organised to guide and educate youth about various job avenues available for young boys and girls. 

The release informed that Assam Rifles in coordination with village authorities informed the youth about various job notifications like women military police entry, indian army recruitment, placements in hotel industry, etc. and the details of aspirants for various jobs were noted for their further documentation and registration.
